New Zealand museums and galleries enrich our communities by protecting our history, educating our people and showcasing our cultural identity to locals and visitors.

There are around 3,500 people currently employed in New Zealand museums and many more who volunteer their time. Providing these individuals with specialist training is crucial to building the profitability, productivity and service delivery of these organisations.

Tour guiding and customer service qualifications are also of practical use to the museums sector, particularly for customer-facing staff or volunteers.

Qualifications for this sector are developed in close consultation with industry organisations and workplaces, so they meet the needs of employers and trainees. ServiceIQ has strong working relationships with key players in the museums and galleries sector including Museums Aotearoa, Te Papa National Services Te Paerangi, and museums and galleries around New Zealand.
