Workplace awards
ATTTO supports a number of awards, which recognise businesses making an exceptional commitment to investing in their people through training.
ATTTO A+ Trainee and Modern Apprentice of the Year Awards
In 2011 ATTTO launched its first A+ Trainee and Modern Apprentice of the Year Awards. These awards recognise outstanding commitment to and achievement in training, and trainees who have made a real difference in their workplaces. The awards recognise trainees from each of our sectors (aviation, tourism, travel and museums) as well as a Modern Apprentice of the Year and an overall Supreme Winner.
Winners of the 2011 awards were announced at a celebration event in Wellington on 11 November 2011. The Supreme Winner - apprentice travel agent Samantha Chambers, from United Travel Mairangi Bay - won a $2,000 professional development scholarship, to be used for training of her choice.
ATTTO thanks the A+ awards partners for their support and endorsement of the awards: the Aviation Industry Association (AIA), the Tourism Industry Association of New Zealand (TIA), the Travel Agents Association of New Zealand (TAANZ), and Museums Aotearoa.

ATTTO Training Ambassador Awards
Introduced in 2009, these awards recognise the important contribution that individuals make in supporting trainees in the workplace. There are a number of people across New Zealand and throughout our industries whose dedication has helped people achieve qualifications through ATTTO, and improve business outcomes through training.
Nominations for these awards are made each year by ATTTO’s frontline team. Awards are made to representatives from each of our four sectors annually at key industry events throughout the year.
