Job titles include Usher, Lobby Attendant, Ticket Taker, Tour Guide, Visitor Services Representative, Cashier, Docent, Projectionist, Visitor Services Associate and Visitor Services Specialist.


Tasks include:

• selling and collecting admission tickets
• welcoming people attending events
• checking tickets or passes
• maintaining order and ensuring people stick to safety rules
• helping with peoples’ special needs, such as assisting those with wheelchairs
• directing people to restrooms and facilities
• settling seating disputes and helping solve other customer concerns.


Skills and knowledge
