Museum Practice Trainee Manual with Assessment - Unit 26803

This is the complete training manual for unit standard 26803 – Preventive conservation in practice.

This manual helps the learner to gain the knowledge needed to demonstrate competence against this unit standard.

This manual introduces learners to practices for storing, displaying, moving and handling objects in a way that prevents them from deteriorating. It includes ‘first aid’ for items damaged in an emergency and how to write condition reports.

Learning activities are provided throughout the manual. Full assessment tasks for this unit standard are also included.

***This manual is included in the full resource pack for the National Certificate in Museum Practice (Level 4). Registration cost including full resource pack: $115 excluding assessment fees; or $165 including assessment by National Services Te Paerangi (costs excluding GST). Note that a completion grant of $80 will be paid to employers when trainees complete training within the 18 month duration.
