The National Certificate in Tourism Conventions and Incentives is intended as a pre-employment qualification for those people aspiring to careers within various business areas or sectors in the conventions and incentives industry.
The qualification has been designed to recognise the skills and knowledge required in the workplace, and may also be completed by people currently employed in the industry who are seeking an appropriate qualification.
This qualification is designed to recognise research and marketing, customer service, teamwork, and sales knowledge and skills required by all business areas or sectors of the conventions and incentives industry. In addition, specific conventions and incentives unit standards recognise knowledge of the structure and function of the industry, and the banquet process for a conventions and incentives industry project.
