The manual looks at examples of Māori customs and practices such as Rāhui, Muru and Utu. Examples of these customs and practices will be followed by activities that will ask how these are related to tourism, how they may be relevant to Māori, and the importance of respecting these customs and practices in a tourism context.
It is important to know that these customs and practices and a part of a much larger conceptual network that interlinks other such large concepts like Kaitiakitanga, Manaakitanga and Whānau.
