Getting Accreditation
Accreditation is the status awarded when an organisation has shown it is capable of delivering an approved course or assessing against unit standards.
Accreditation is granted by NZQA but any application requires a letter of support from ATTTO where any ATTTO unit standards are to be assessed against.
Applying for Accreditation
Applicants are encouraged to consult ATTTO at an early stage of their planning. We can advise you on the accreditation scope you need to apply for.
ATTTO Accreditation Charges
Assistance - letter of support:
Assistance is charged for at $50.00 (+ GST) per hour, but as routine letters of support typically take no more than half an hour, the charge is often reduced accordingly.
Accreditation and Moderation Action Plans (AMAPs)
There are separate AMAPs for the industry sectors ATTTO is responsible for. These are available from the NZQA website
AMAPs identify the specific criteria for accreditation and outline external moderation requirements.
Currently the Tourism and Travel AMAP [Ref: 0078] is divided into two separate documents.
- Specific Industry Requirements for accreditation
- The ATTTO external moderation requirements.
Click here for ATTTO Accreditation Application Information, which contains the specific industry requirements.
Please note that the version of the Tourism and Travel AMAP registered on the NQF and available from the NZQA website contains the external moderation requirements but does not contain the industry specific requirements.
