This manual has been designed to introduce students to the concept of regional tourism and to provide with an overview of what is available in the regions by way of tourism product. While a small amount of information in this manual overlaps with information in both the Destination New Zealand manual and the Characteristics of New Zealand as a Visitor Destination manual, please bear in mind that not all students will study all of the unit standards. If your students have already studied Destination New Zealand then treat the overlapping sections as revision. Reinforcement and repetition are a critical part of learning.
